Weak network signal isn't an error — it's a heads-up. Your tracker is still connected, but its mobile signal is poor enough that updates may arrive late, and there's nothing you need to fix.
Why you're seeing it
Your tracker reports its own mobile signal on a six-step scale: No Signal, Poor, Fair, Good, Strong and Excellent. When it reports one of the two lowest steps, the app raises the warning:
Weak network signal — Your tracker's mobile signal is low, which may affect location updates and alerts.
The warning only appears when the tracker has actually reported a reading. A missing reading never triggers a false alarm.
What it means in practice
The tracker status screen explains it like this:
Updates may be delayed — Location reports can arrive late or be missed while the signal is weak. The tracker keeps retrying automatically.
Why does this happen? Signal drops in dead zones, deep indoors, or underground. It recovers on its own once {pet} is back in coverage.
What to do
There is nothing to configure — this one is informational. If it bothers you:
- Give it a few minutes. The tracker retries by itself and the warning clears once signal improves.
- Check where your pet is. If they're somewhere you know is a dead spot, that's your explanation — expect gappy updates until they move.
- Get close to your pet. Connecting over Bluetooth gives you a solid link regardless of mobile signal. In fact, the warning is hidden entirely whenever your phone holds a Bluetooth link to the tracker, because that is a working connection.
Please note: Weak signal is different from Disconnected. Weak signal means the tracker is still getting through, just not reliably. Disconnected means it isn't getting through at all.
