Want to use the same tracker on another pet? It's straightforward — you just have to disconnect it from the first pet before pairing it to the second. Here's the order to do it in.
Why you can't just pair it again
A tracker can only be attached to one pet at a time. If you try to pair it to a second pet while it's still connected to the first, the app stops you with This tracker is already in use — "It's already paired to another pet. If it's yours, unpair it there first — or pick a different tracker." There's no Try again on that screen, only Choose another tracker.
Step-by-step
- Open the profile of the pet the tracker is currently connected to.
- Tap GPS Tracker, then open the tracker's settings.
- Tap Disconnect tracker — Stop and remove tracker.
- Read the confirmation and tap Disconnect tracker. Keep the tracker nearby while it runs — it takes about a minute.
- Now open the new pet's profile, tap the GPS Tracker row, and pair as normal.
What disconnecting resets
Disconnecting resets the tracker's own settings so it starts clean on the new pet:

Please note: your first pet keeps everything they collected. Location history, walks, live sessions, timeline events and health entries all stay on that pet's profile — only the tracker's own configuration is cleared.
After the move
Once the tracker is paired to the new pet you'll go through the setup wizard again, including that pet's measurements, since the tracker is personalised per pet. Set up any zones and alerts for the new pet from scratch.
Tip: if the tracker isn't nearby when you disconnect, the removal still completes — the device finishes resetting itself the next time it comes online. You can pair it to the new pet straight away.
