Here's a plain-language summary of what Ask A Vet stores about your account, how your password is protected, and what happens to it all if you leave.

You can view and edit most of this yourself from My Profile, reached by tapping your avatar in the app header.
Security information
- Your password is never stored as text. It's kept only as a scrambled, one-way value, which is why nobody — including Ask A Vet support — can tell you what your password is. It can only be reset.
- Whether two-factor authentication is switched on.
- One-time verification codes, which are single-use and are replaced or cleared as soon as they're used.
What happens when you delete your account
Everything above is removed, together with your pets and their records, your calendar events, your saved addresses, your trackers and their location history, and your family-sharing links.
The one thing kept is an anonymous feedback record: the type of account, the reason or reasons you chose for leaving, any free text you typed, and the date. It's unlinked from you and holds no personal details.
