If you'd rather sign in with just your password, you can switch two-factor authentication off at any time. It takes one tap.
Step-by-step
- Go to Settings and tap Security.
- Switch the Two-Factor authentication toggle off.
- You'll see "Two-factor authentication has been turned off successfully." — that's it.
No verification code is needed to switch it off, and the change applies immediately: your next sign-in will only ask for your email and password.
Important: turning two-factor authentication off makes your password the only thing protecting your account. If you're switching it off because codes aren't arriving, try the troubleshooting steps first rather than removing the protection.
If it doesn't switch off
If you see "Failed to deactivate 2FA":
- Check your internet connection.
- Leave the Security screen and come back.
- Try the toggle again.

Turning it back on
You can re-enable it whenever you like — see "How to turn two-factor authentication on". You'll go through the short setup again.
