Forgotten your password? Don't worry — you can reset it yourself from the Login screen in under a minute, using a code we email you.
Step-by-step
- On the Login screen, tap Forgot your password?.
- Enter the email address on your account and tap Reset password.
- Open the email titled "Reset your Ask A Vet password" and note the 6-digit code.
- Enter the code in the Verify your email sheet and tap Verify.
- On the New password screen, type your new password and repeat it in the confirmation field, then tap Confirm.
- You'll see All Set! — "Your password has been reset. Please log in with your shiny new password." Tap Log In and sign in with the new password.
Please note: the screen mentions sending a "link", but what actually arrives is a 6-digit code. There's nothing to click in the email — just read the code and type it into the app.
Password requirements
Your new password must be at least 8 characters and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. Both fields must match, or you'll see "Passwords must match".
Good to know
- It works whichever account type you have. Password reset finds your account by email address alone, so you don't need to pick a role first.
- You'll get a confirmation email — "Your Ask A Vet password was changed" — showing when the change happened, with a "Wasn't you?" warning.
- Your other devices stay signed in. Changing your password does not sign you out elsewhere. If that matters to you, log out of Ask A Vet on those devices too.
Tip: if the app says "We could not send the reset code. Please check your email and try again.", it usually means there's no account under that address. Check for a typo, or try another address you may have signed up with.
