If the red Permanently delete account button won't respond, the screen is waiting for one more thing from you. It's a quick fix.
Why this happens
The button only becomes tappable once you've told us why you're leaving. Specifically:
- at least one reason must be ticked under Why are you deleting your account?, and
- if you ticked Other (please specify below), the text box must contain something (spaces alone don't count).
How to fix it
- Scroll to Why are you deleting your account? on the Delete Account screen.
- Tick at least one of the seven options: - I no longer need the app - I found a better app - The app has too many bugs or issues - There are too many notifications - The app is difficult to use - The app lacks important features - Other (please specify below)
- If you ticked Other (please specify below), type a short explanation in the box (up to 1000 characters).
- The Permanently delete account button turns active — tap it to continue.
Tip: you can tick more than one reason. If none of them quite fits, tick Other and tell us in your own words.
Please note: your reasons are kept only as anonymous feedback. They're not linked to you once your account is removed.
What happens next
Tapping the button emails a 6-digit code to your account address. Enter it, then confirm the "Are you sure?" prompt to finish. Nothing is deleted until you confirm that last step.
