Short answer: no — deleting your Ask A Vet account does not cancel a paid subscription. Please sort out your subscription first, otherwise billing can continue after your account is gone.
What deletion does and doesn't touch
Account deletion removes your profile, pets, calendar events, trackers and family-sharing links. It does not include any billing step, so an active subscription is unaffected by it.
Important: always cancel or manage your subscription before you delete your account. Once the account is gone you can no longer reach the subscription settings inside the app.
The order to do it in
- Open Settings → Subscriptions and cancel or change your plan there. For full instructions, see the Subscription & Billing section of this help center.
- Confirm the change has gone through.
- Then follow the steps in "How to delete your Ask A Vet account".
Cancelling vs deleting
They're two separate things:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cancelling your subscription | Stops future billing but keeps your account, pets and data. |
| Deleting your account | Removes your data permanently and can't be undone. |
If you only want to stop paying, cancelling the subscription is all you need.
