Disconnecting removes the tracker from your pet's profile and resets the tracker itself, so it's ready to be paired again — to the same pet, another pet, or nothing at all. Here's how it works.
Step-by-step
- Open your pet's profile and tap GPS Tracker.
- Open the tracker's settings and scroll to Disconnect tracker — Stop and remove tracker.
- On Disconnect this tracker? read what will be reset, then tap Disconnect tracker. (Tap Cancel if you've changed your mind.)
What gets reset on the tracker
The confirmation screen lists exactly what happens:
| Setting | What happens |
|---|---|
| Safe zones and no-go zones | Deleted |
| Power saving zones | Deleted |
| Barking alerts | Turned off |
| Live tracking duration | Back to 5 minutes |
What happens next
The app runs four steps — Finding the tracker, Resetting the tracker, Removing from your account and Final checks — with the note "Keep the tracker close — this takes about a minute."
When it's done you'll see Tracker disconnected — "The tracker was reset and removed from your account. You can pair it again anytime."
If the tracker isn't nearby
It still works. The steps show Tracker not nearby — we'll finish over the network and "Will reset when it next comes online." The final message becomes: "The tracker was removed from your account and will finish resetting when it next comes online. You can pair it again anytime."
Please note: in that case the tracker is already off your account. The reset simply finishes on the device itself the next time it has a connection.
If it fails
If you see Couldn't remove the tracker from your account — "Check your connection and try again." — check your phone's internet connection and tap Retry.
What this does to your billing
Disconnecting releases the tracker slot on your subscription, so it no longer counts against your allowance.
Your pet's history is safe
Disconnecting does not delete your pet's history. Location history, walks, live sessions, timeline events and health entries all stay on the profile.
