There's no "reschedule" button in the Ask A Vet app today. If you need a different day or time, cancel the booking you have and book the new one — and in most cases you'll be refunded in full for the first.
Before you start
Important: cancelling releases your slot immediately, and someone else can book it. If your preferred vet has limited availability, check that the new time you want is actually free before you cancel the old one.
- The 2-hour rule applies. A confirmed consultation can't be cancelled within 2 hours of its start, so you can't swap the time at the last minute.
- You pay again for the new booking. The refund for the old one and the charge for the new one are separate. The new booking is charged at the price shown at the time you book it — so if your subscription has changed in the meantime, the amount may differ.
- The new booking needs to be accepted too. Your vet has to accept the new time before it becomes Confirmed, exactly as with the first booking.
Step-by-step
- Open the Consults tab → Telehealth.
- Tap the consultation you want to move.
- Tap Cancel, then confirm in the dialog — Cancel & refund for a confirmed booking, Cancel appointment for one that isn't confirmed yet. A full refund is issued if you'd already paid.
- Start a new booking: tap the centre ASK A VET button → Book a call with a Vet.
- Choose your new date and time.
If you're inside the 2-hour window
You won't be able to cancel from the app — the button is disabled with "Cancellation closed 2 hours before your consult." Contact Ask A Vet support if you need help. [CONFIRM: support contact channel — email address or in-app route.]
