Short answer: no. Veterinarian accounts are invite-only and can't be created from the Ask A Vet app.
What you'll see
If you select I'm a Veterinarian on the login sheet and then tap Create an account, a notice appears headed Vet accounts are invite-only: "Please contact your admin to create a veterinarian account."
Tap Okay to close it. There is no self-service sign-up path for veterinarians.
How veterinarians get an account
Veterinarian accounts are created by the Ask A Vet team. Once yours exists, you sign in normally:
- On the Login screen, make sure the role card says Veterinarian (tap Change if it doesn't).
- Enter the email address your account was created with, and your password.
- Tap Log In.
If you've been told an account exists but sign-in fails, double-check the role card first — a pet-owner selection will reject correct veterinarian credentials.
Please note: if you don't have a veterinarian account yet, contact the practice or organisation that invited you, or email support@askavet.com.
If you're a pet owner
Leave the role card on Pet owner. Pet owners can create their own account in the app in a couple of minutes.
Tip: the same email address can hold a pet-owner account and a veterinarian account separately. If you use Ask A Vet in both capacities, log out and re-select the role you need — logging out clears the saved role and brings the choice sheet back.
