A profile photo makes it easier for your vet to recognise you in chats and consults. Adding or swapping one takes a few taps.
Add a photo
- Tap your avatar in the app header to open My Profile.
- Tap the round photo area at the top.
- Your photo library opens — choose one image.
- That's it. You'll see "Your profile photo has been updated successfully ✅" and the new photo appears straight away.
Replace or remove a photo
Once you already have a photo, tapping it opens a small menu instead of going straight to the library. From there you can:
- replace the photo with a different one, or
- delete it and go back to the default avatar.
Photo requirements
| Requirement | Detail |

| One image at a time | Multi-select isn't supported. |
| Under 10 MB | Larger files are rejected with "This file is too large. Please upload a file smaller than 10 MB." |
| HEIC photos are fine | iPhone HEIC images are converted to JPEG for you automatically. |
| Large images are resized | Resized for you to a maximum of 2048 × 2048 pixels, so you don't need to shrink them first. |
Photo permissions
The first time you pick a photo, your phone asks for permission.

| iPhone and iPad | You'll be asked for access to your photo library. The prompt explains it's used to upload pet profile images and share photos in chat with veterinarians. |
| Android 14 and later | You can grant access to selected photos only rather than your whole library — handy if you'd rather not share everything. |
| Android 13 and earlier | The system photo picker is used, so the app never needs broad access to your gallery. |
Please note: if you choose "selected photos" on Android and later want to use a different image, you may need to reselect which photos the app can see.
