Every Ask A Vet tracker has its own ID. You'll need it to tell your tracker apart from others in the pairing list, and support will ask for it if you ever get in touch about a device.
What it looks like
The tracker ID is 8 characters long and made up of letters and numbers only — no spaces, dashes or symbols.

Tip: the ID in the pairing list is the same one the tracker broadcasts over Bluetooth — which is exactly why the app can show it to you before anything is paired. Matching the list against the label on the back is the reliable way to pick the right tracker when several are nearby.
Please note: there's nowhere in the app to type a tracker ID in by hand. You pair either by picking the tracker from the Bluetooth list or by scanning its QR code — the ID is there to identify the device, not to enter.
