You got a notification on your phone, opened the app to find it — and it isn't in the list. Don't worry, nothing has gone missing. The Notifications screen deliberately carries only some kinds of alert, and everything else has a home of its own.
What the list carries
Only these kinds of alert appear there:
- QR tag scans
- Tracker alarms — every kind, including zones, battery, power, barking, separation anxiety and temperature
- Hazards reported near your pet
- Tracker firmware updates (available, completed, failed)
- Family invitations
- Calendar event reminders
What it doesn't carry — and where to look instead
| Alert | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Chat messages | The Consults tab |
| Video consultation bookings, reminders, cancellations, payments and summaries | The appointment itself, and your email |
| Subscription activated or payment failed | Settings → Subscriptions |
| Family invitation accepted or declined, member removed, pet no longer shared | Settings → Family Sharing |
These still arrive as push notifications on your phone and, for many of them, as emails. They're just not repeated in the in-app list.
If it's an older alert
The list loads 20 alerts at a time. Scroll to the bottom and tap See previous notifications to load the next batch — repeat until you find what you're looking for.
Please note: Alerts aren't deleted automatically as they get older, so an alert you received months ago is still there if you keep loading.
If you can't see the list at all
The bell icon only appears on the Home tab. Go back to Home and look in the top-right corner of the header.
