Monthly flea treatment, twice-daily tablets, a weekly weigh-in — set the repeat once and Ask A Vet fills the rest of your calendar in for you.
Set a repeat
- Create or edit an event and tap Repeat.
- Pick a number in the left column and a unit in the right column: Hours, Days or Weeks.
- Save the event.
The number you can pick depends on the unit:
| Unit | Range |
|---|---|
| Hours | 0–23 |
| Days | 0–30 |
| Weeks | 0–52 |
0 means no repeat — a single one-off event.
How many repeats you get
Saving a repeating event creates the event you entered plus 30 future occurrences. That works out as:
| Repeat interval | How far the series runs |
|---|---|
| Every 12 hours | About 15 days of doses |
| Every 1 day | About a month |
| Every 1 week | Roughly seven months |
| Every 4 weeks | A bit over two years |
Tip: Pick the largest interval that suits you if you want the series to stretch further into the future — the count of 30 is the same whichever unit you choose.
Each occurrence stands alone
Marking one occurrence Done, Taken, Logged or Skipped only affects that date. The next one stays waiting for you, and the status is never carried over from the original event.
Editing a repeating event
| What you change | What happens |
|---|---|
| The date, time or the repeat rule | All 30 future occurrences are rebuilt on the new schedule. They also reset to "not yet done", so anything you'd already ticked off in the future is cleared. |
| Only the files or the reminder | The change flows through to the future occurrences you haven't individually changed — the series itself is left alone. |
| Event Details | Applies only to the occurrence you edited. |
Please note: Only the original event mirrors its attachments into the pet's Documents library. The 30 generated occurrences don't create duplicate documents.
Stopping a series
Cancel the original event and the whole series goes with it — every future occurrence is removed. See "How to edit or cancel a calendar event".
If you only want to skip one date, open that occurrence and tap Skipped instead.
