Removing a document you no longer need is quick — but not every document can be deleted, and only the pet's owner can do it. Here's what to expect.
Delete a document you uploaded
- Open the document.
- Tap the … menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Delete document. The confirmation reads Delete this document? — "This document will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered."
- Tap Delete.
The document disappears from its folder and the folder's count drops by one.
Important: This can't be undone. If you might need the file again, share it to yourself first — see "How to open, preview and share a document".
Who can delete
Only the pet's owner. If a pet has been shared with you through Family Sharing, the Delete document option isn't shown at all — even if you have permission to edit the pet. Ask the owner to remove it.
Deleting also needs an active Premium plan on the owner's account.
Documents that can't be deleted
Some documents arrived in the library from somewhere else, and the library isn't where they can be removed:

Removing a document that came from a calendar event
- Open the Calendar tab and find the event (the document's Source link takes you straight there).
- Tap the … on the event row.
- Tap Edit event.
- Scroll to Files and remove the file with the × on its tile.
- Save the event.
The matching document is taken out of the pet's library at the same time.
