Tap your pet's tracker status in the app and you get a sheet explaining exactly what's happening right now. This article walks through the connection words the app uses on the map, every state the sheet can show you, and what each one means.

How "online" is decided
A tracker counts as online only if we've heard from it within the last 2 hours. Trackers check in roughly once an hour, so a short silence is normal — anything beyond two hours reads as not online. Any message from the tracker counts as a check-in — not just a location report.
When a tracker does go quiet, the app tells you the most likely reason based on its last battery reading:
- Battery was low (20% or below) — the tracker has most likely run flat. Charge it.
- Battery was healthy or unknown — it's most likely a mobile coverage problem where your pet is.
Please note: We don't simply trust the tracker to tell us it has gone away. A tracker whose battery runs flat can't say goodbye, so it would look connected forever. Two hours of silence is what marks it as unreachable.
The four connection labels
The app uses four different words for your tracker's connection, and each one points at a different cause. Knowing which one you're looking at tells you straight away whether to reach for the charger or simply wait. You'll find the label in the drawer at the bottom of your pet's GPS tracker map.

| Connected | Green | Your tracker has reached us over the mobile network, meaning we've heard from it within the last 2 hours. |
| Connected via Bluetooth | Blue | Your phone is linked directly to the tracker, so your pet's location keeps updating even with no mobile network. |
| Disconnected | Red | We haven't heard from the tracker, but its last battery reading was healthy (or we don't have one). That points at mobile coverage, not a flat battery. |
| Offline | Red | We haven't heard from the tracker and its last battery reading was 20% or below, so a flat battery is the most likely explanation. |
The mobile network always takes priority — the Connected via Bluetooth label only appears when the tracker isn't reachable over the network. As the app puts it:
Your phone is linked directly to the tracker. {Pet}'s tracker is within Bluetooth range of your phone, so location keeps updating even without mobile network.
The Disconnected banner reads:
Tracker disconnected — Your tracker can't connect to the mobile network. Move to an area with better coverage so it can report {pet}'s location.
For Offline, the app says:
Tracker offline — Looks like your tracker's battery has run out. Charge it so it can report {pet}'s location.
What the map looks like when the tracker is away
The status pills at the top of the map collapse into one red Tracker is offline chip. That's deliberate: a tracker that's flat or out of coverage can't report its signal, so individual pills would show stale readings forever. Tapping any pill opens the tracker status screen.
Tip: If you paired your tracker somewhere with no mobile coverage, it may never have connected to the network at all. It stays fully usable over Bluetooth until it finds signal.
The status sheet, state by state
The sheet always shows the single most important thing first. These are listed in that priority order:

| 7 | In a Power Saving Zone | "{Pet} is in a Power Saving Zone" / "GPS is paused on purpose to save battery." |
| 8 | No GPS signal | "This is common indoors." |
| 9 | Weak network signal | "The tracker's mobile signal is low, which may affect location updates and alerts." |
| 10 | Working normally | "{Pet}'s tracker is working normally" / "Everything is connected." |
Please note: With Tracker off you'll also get cards for Charge the tracker and Last known location.
How fresh is the location?
Under the title you'll see the age of the last position, phrased as "Last location update: just now.", "Last location update: 12 minutes ago." or "No location reported yet."
"What you're seeing"
The sheet includes a short glossary explaining the exact labels shown on screen. For example:
Proximity — "Your tracker is nearby. The location comes from your phone's direct Bluetooth link, so it's accurate and easy on the battery."
Work mode and signal strength
Elsewhere in the app you may also see the tracker's own working state described as:

Under Tracker Settings you can jump straight to:
- Power Saving Zones — showing how many zones you have
- Bark Alarm — showing On or Off
- LIVE Tracking Duration — showing the minutes it's set to
