Your pet's Timeline is built from a few simple building blocks. Once you know what each one means, the whole feed reads much more easily.
The building blocks at a glance

Trips
Open a trip and you get the route on a map, a replay scrubber, and three stats: Duration, Distance and Avg speed.
Inside a trip you'll also see the stops where your pet paused. The very start and end of a trip are never counted as stops.
Please note: a LIVE session that never managed to record a single position isn't saved, so it won't appear on the Timeline at all.
Stays
A stay is long enough to count as "being somewhere" rather than passing through.
Stays are titled At {place}, or In {zone} when the place is a no-go zone, and can carry the tags POWER SAVING or NO-GO ZONE.
"Here now"
Once positions stop arriving, a Here now card is shown as a finished stay instead, with an Arrived and Left time.
Why very short zone visits don't appear
A visit to a zone that lasted under 2 minutes is hidden from the feed. An enter-and-leave inside two minutes is almost always GPS drift right on the boundary of a fence, not a real visit — so leaving them out keeps the Timeline honest.
Why some positions don't create stays
Positions estimated from nearby mobile masts or Wi-Fi are left out of the calculation, because they're too rough to say your pet was really there.
Positions from your phone's Bluetooth link are included, on purpose. If your pet's tracker has no mobile signal at home, that Bluetooth link is the only real evidence they're with you — so it keeps your at-home stay alive rather than leaving a gap in the feed.
That's also why an ongoing stay at home may show as a plain Here now card carrying the name of your power-saving zone, rather than a separate power-saving entry.
