Calendar events are how you keep on top of worming, medication, feeding and vaccination dates — and how you get a reminder before each one. Here's how to set one up.
Create the event
- Open the Calendar tab. (Opening it from a pet's profile pre-selects that pet.)
- Tap the floating action button.
- Choose New Calendar Event.
- Under Event Details, choose the Pet Name, pick an Event Type, and add anything useful in Event Details.
- Under Date & Time, set the Date, the Time, a Repeat rule and a Reminder before event.
- Under Appearance, pick an Event Colour.
- Under Files, attach anything relevant (optional).
- Tap Save.
The button reads Fill all required fields until everything needed is set, then becomes Save — and Saving... while it goes through. You'll see an Event created message when it's done.
The 12 event types

- Food Diary
- Feaces Diary
The type you pick decides three things:
- The wording of the "mark it done" button.
- The wording of the reminder notification.
- Which Documents folder any attached files land in.
Important: Food Diary and Feaces Diary events can't currently be saved — you'll see "Failed to create event". Use Allergy Diary, or another type with your notes in Event Details, until this is fixed. See "'Failed to create event' when I try to save".
Choosing a reminder
Reminder before event offers:
- No reminder (the default for a new event)
- At start
- 15 mins before
- 30 mins before
- 1 hour before
- 1 day before
A reminder arrives as a push notification with a message matched to the event type — for example "Time to give Bella their medicine." — and the body "Tap to open the calendar event."
Tip: New events default to No reminder, so if you want to be nudged, change this before saving. It's the single most common reason a reminder never arrives.
Dates, times and repeats
Date and Time are both set with a picker — tap the field and choose. For repeating events, see "How to set up repeating events".
Family sharing
Creating an event on a pet that's shared with you needs the family calendar permission on that pet. Without it you'll see "Calendar access restricted".
Please note: Creating calendar events needs an active Premium plan. Without one you'll see "Calendar is included with Premium" — "Premium lets you create events for vet visits, vaccinations and reminders for every pet."
