You tapped Analyze with AI and got an alert reading "HTTP 400" or "Not Found" — or the analysis said it finished but no summary appeared. Don't worry: the document itself is safe, and there are only a handful of reasons this happens.
Please note: "HTTP 400" is a generic message the app shows when the analysis can't run. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your account or your file. Work through the causes below.
Quick checks
- Is the document a video? Videos are never analysed and the button is hidden in the Videos folder.
- Did you just analyse it? Wait a full minute before trying again.
- Is the pet owner on an active Premium plan? Analysis is a Premium action.
Why the alert appears, and what to do
You re-analysed too soon
After a successful analysis, the same document can't be analysed again for 60 seconds. Wait a minute and tap Re-analyze with AI again.
If the previous attempt failed, there's no waiting period — you can retry straight away.
The document is a video
Videos are stored but never analysed. If you want a summary of what was discussed, add a separate document (a photo of the notes, or an audio recording) and analyse that instead.
The file couldn't be fetched
If the file can't be downloaded for analysis, the attempt is abandoned and you're asked to try again. This is usually a passing network problem — tap Analyze with AI again, ideally on a stronger connection.
It took too long
Analysis stops after about 2 minutes (about 3 minutes for audio, which is transcribed first). A large or complex file can hit that. Try again in a moment.
"Analysis complete" appeared but there's no summary
The analysis ran but produced nothing usable, so the document stays marked as not analysed. There are three common reasons.
The file is beyond an analysis limit. There are caps on what can be read in one pass:
| File type | Analysis limit |
|---|---|
| PDFs | Up to 50 pages |
| Audio | Up to 5 minutes |
| Spreadsheets and CSV files | Up to 10 MB |
Beyond those, the document is still saved — you just won't get a summary. Split a long PDF into shorter ones, or trim a long recording, and upload the part that matters.
The file's contents don't match its extension — common when something has been renamed or exported oddly. Re-save or re-export the file in its proper format and upload it again.
The result couldn't be used. Occasionally the analysis comes back in a form the app can't display. Just tap Analyze with AI again — a second run usually works.
When to contact support
If the same document fails repeatedly, is comfortably inside every limit, and re-uploading it doesn't help, contact the Ask A Vet support team with the document's title and the folder it's in. [CONFIRM: support contact channel — email address and/or in-app support route]
