On Android you may notice a notification that sits in your notification shade and can't be swiped away. That's expected — it's how Android lets Ask A Vet keep working while you're using another app, and it disappears on its own.
The three you might see

Why they can't be dismissed
Android requires an app to show a permanent notification while it records your location in the background or holds a Bluetooth connection. It's a transparency feature: it tells you exactly when the app is active. Without it, Android would stop the walk or the live session as soon as you switched apps.
They're deliberately silent
Each of these lives on its own low-priority category — Walk in progress, Live tracking in progress and Collar background listening — so they never make a sound or pop up on screen. They just sit quietly in your shade.
What you can do with them
- Tap one to jump back into the app on the right screen.
- End the walk or the live tracking session — the notification disappears immediately.
Please note: If you've blocked notifications for Ask A Vet, a walk still records normally — the card is simply invisible. You won't lose the walk.
