You can attach photos and paperwork to any calendar event — a photo of the medication box, the vaccination card, the invoice from the visit. They're also saved into your pet's Documents library at the same time.
Attach a file
- On the New Event or Edit Event form, scroll to Files.
- Tap the upload tile. The Add Attachment sheet offers Take Photo, Choose from Library and Upload File.
- Pick your file. Each one uploads on its own, with its own progress spinner.
- Tap Save when everything has finished uploading.
To remove a file before saving, tap the small × on its tile.
What you can attach
| Type | Accepted formats |
|---|---|
| Images | JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, GIF |
| Documents | PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX), Excel (XLS/XLSX), CSV |
Maximum 100 MB per file.
Important: Audio and video files can't be attached to a calendar event. If you need to save a recording, add it directly to the pet's Documents library instead — see "How to add a document to your pet's profile".
If a file is rejected
You'll see the reason inline on the tile, with a Retry button:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Unsupported file type" | It isn't one of the formats listed above. Re-save it as a PDF or JPEG. |
| "File is larger than 100 MB" | Shrink it, or split a long PDF. |
Because each file uploads independently, one failure doesn't affect the others. Fix or remove the problem file and save as normal.
What happens to the files afterwards
Underneath the Files section you'll see one of two hints:
- "Files are also saved to your pet's documents." — each file also becomes a document in that pet's library.
- "Upgrade to also save files to your pet's documents." — tap Upgrade to see the plans. The file still attaches to the event either way. [CONFIRM: whether files really are left out of the Documents library when this hint is shown — the copy promises the library as an upgrade, but no plan check was found on the copying itself]
Full details are in "How files on a calendar event end up in Documents".
Viewing attachments later
- Open the Calendar tab.
- Tap the event in the Events list. The Event Details sheet shows a Files grid.
- Tap any tile to open it.
Please note: Removing a file from an event also removes the matching document from the pet's library — that's the correct way to delete a document that came from a calendar event.
