You may open your pet's Documents and find records you never uploaded. That's on purpose — Ask A Vet files things away for you so nothing gets lost in a chat thread.
Files you send in a chat
Any file you attach in AI Vet Chat or Certified Vet Chat is saved into that pet's Documents library automatically, and analysed in the background.
- The app picks a folder from what the file appears to be. If it can't tell confidently, it goes into Other.
- The title falls back to the file's original filename.
- The Issued date falls back to the date you sent the message.
Tip: If the folder or title isn't quite right, open the document and tap … → Edit document. See "How to edit or re-file a document".
Telehealth appointment recordings
A recording of a telehealth call is saved into the pet's Videos folder, titled Telehealth recording — YYYY-MM-DD, and marked as visible to vets.
Videos are never put through AI analysis, so a recording won't have a summary attached to it.
Files you attach to a calendar event
Attaching a file to a calendar event creates a matching document too — see "How files on a calendar event end up in Documents".
What you can and can't do with these

Please note: There's currently no link or badge inside the chat itself pointing at the saved document — open the pet's Documents to find it.
You also can't attach a document from the library into a chat. The chat attach sheet offers Record an Audio Clip, Record a Video Clip and Upload a File — upload the file again from your phone if you need to send it.
