When the map says your pet is close but you still can't see them — behind a hedge, under the decking, somewhere in the house — Radar Mode plays hot and cold with you until you find them.
What Radar Mode does
Radar measures how strong the Bluetooth signal between your phone and your pet's tracker is, and fills three rings around your pet's photo as that signal gets stronger. Move around, watch the rings, and follow whichever direction makes them fill.
Please note: Radar is proximity only. It tells you whether you're getting closer, not which direction to walk, and it never changes your pet's position on the map.
Step-by-step
- Open your pet's profile and tap GPS Tracker.
- In the drawer's action row, tap Radar. The Radar Mode sheet opens.
- Walk around slowly and watch the rings.
- When you've found your pet, tap Exit.
What the sheet tells you
While Radar has locked on:
"{Pet}'s tracker is within Bluetooth range. The rings will fill up as you get closer."
While it's still looking:
"Looking for {Pet}'s tracker… Move around and Radar will lock on when it's within Bluetooth range."
Underneath the rings, the label changes as you close in:

The signal is read about once a second and smoothed out, so give the rings a moment to settle after each few steps rather than reacting to every flicker.
Make the tracker flash and beep
The Radar sheet has Light and Sound buttons built in, so you can make the tracker give itself away without leaving the screen. Both only work while Radar has an active Bluetooth link to the tracker — if the link drops they're unavailable.
If a command doesn't get through you'll see "Couldn't reach the tracker. Try again." Simply tap again — the tracker's Bluetooth module sleeps between reports and can miss the first attempt.
Keep an eye on the map at the same time
You can collapse the Radar sheet into a compact card. Radar keeps running while you watch the map, and you can expand it again at any time.
Tip: Radar works within Bluetooth range [CONFIRM: typical Bluetooth range in metres for the Ask A Vet tracker]. If you're further away than that, use the map or start a LIVE Tracking session to get close first, then switch to Radar.
