Plan prices are always shown live inside the app, so the Plans screen is the single source of truth for what a plan costs you. This article explains where those numbers come from, which currency you'll be billed in, and how tax is handled.
Where prices come from
Prices are pulled live from our payment provider and shown on each plan card in the form of a per-month figure plus the yearly total.
Because prices are live, a price change reaches the app without you needing to update it. Prices are cached along the way, though, so a very recent change can take a while to appear:
| Where prices are cached | For how long |
|---|---|
| On our side | Up to 1 hour |
| In the app | Up to 15 minutes |
Tip: To see current prices, open Settings → Subscriptions → Manage plan → Explore plans. On the Free Plan, tap View subscription plans instead.
Which currency you're billed in
Your subscription bills in a single currency. That's the currency you'll see on the Manage subscription screen, which reflects your own subscription. The plan cards on the Plans screen show our current list prices, which may be in a different currency if you signed up a while ago. On the tracker-slot screen, the currency is spelled out for you in a footnote: "All prices in {currency code}."
If you've been subscribed for a long time, your subscription may still bill in the currency you originally signed up in. If the plan you're switching to isn't offered in that currency, the app will take you through a fresh checkout in the current currency instead of switching in place — your existing plan stays active until the new one starts, so you're never left without access.

Tax
Tax is calculated automatically at checkout, and you'll be asked for a billing address as part of the payment step so the correct rate can be applied.

Important: The amount shown at checkout and on your invoice is what you'll actually be charged. If it ever differs from a plan card, the checkout and invoice are correct.
