Once you've set zones up, they show up in two places: live on your pet's tracker map, and afterwards in the Location history feed. Here's how to read both.
On the map
Active virtual fences are drawn as a filled circle with a white round marker carrying the icon you chose:

Zones you've switched off, or that are being deleted, aren't drawn. Power-saving zones aren't circles at all, so they don't appear as an area on the map.
Labels on your pet's marker
- Here · {zone name} — your pet's position is inside that fence. This shows even when the location is only approximate.
- Power saving · {WiFi name} — your pet's tracker has recognised a power-saving zone.
When more than one label applies, they take turns.
Banners you might see
- Approximate location — Around {address} — approximate location — your pet is inside a safe or no-go zone and there's no fresher fix, so the pin is placed at the centre of that fence, with a circle showing the fence size. This falls back to a plain view after 2 hours.
- Last seen at {zone} · {age} — the last known position has gone stale and your pet entered a safe zone without being seen leaving. Also capped at 2 hours, after which it becomes a plain Last seen {age} pill.
- Set up a virtual fence or Add a power-saving zone — nudges shown when you don't have that kind of zone yet.
Hiding zones from the map
Zones stay visible even when the location is approximate — hiding them automatically would look like your data had vanished. If you'd rather not see them, open Map settings and turn off Virtual fences — Show Safe and No-Go Zones on the map.
In Location history
The Location history feed shows the last 7 days of your pet's stays and trips. Zone visits are tagged and illustrated by type:
- safe zone
- NO-GO ZONE
- POWER SAVING
- generic places
A visit that's still going shows as Here now. If there's nothing yet, the feed reads "No location history yet".
Please note: a completed visit shorter than 2 minutes is hidden from the feed. A quick in-and-out at a boundary is treated as GPS drift rather than a real visit. An ongoing stay is always shown.
