Every answer AI Vet gives can be rated, and those ratings are read by the Ask A Vet team. If an answer was spot on — or badly off — a single tap is the fastest way to tell us.
Rate an answer
Under each AI Vet message there's a row of four actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Copy | Puts the message text on your clipboard and shows the toast "Copied" |
| Like (thumbs up) | The answer was helpful |
| Dislike (thumbs down) | The answer was wrong, unhelpful or unclear |
| Share | Opens your phone's usual share sheet |
Tap the thumb that matches your view. That's the whole thing.
Important: a rating is final. Once you've chosen, only the icon you picked stays on screen, in a small outlined pill you can't tap again — you can't change it or take it back from the app.
Because ratings are saved with the message itself, they follow you across devices and survive reinstalling the app.
What gets sent to Ask A Vet
When you rate an answer we record:
- Which conversation and which message it was
- Your rating (like or dislike)
- Which pet the chat was about
- Which AI model produced the answer
- The first 500 characters of the message as it read when you voted
The team reviews this to improve answer quality over time.
Please note: rating an answer doesn't open a support ticket and nobody replies to it directly. If something needs a human response, use Chat with a real vet, or contact the Ask A Vet support team [CONFIRM: support contact channel — email address and/or in-app support route].
What you can't do in an AI chat
The inline row is the only set of actions available. Long-press message menus, emoji reactions, swipe-to-reply and slash commands are all switched off in AI chats — so if you're used to those from the vet chat, their absence here is intentional.
How answers are formatted
AI Vet's answers appear full-width without a chat bubble and can include formatting like bold text and lists. Your own messages appear as blue bubbles with your profile picture. Copy gives you the plain text.
