Every successful scan of your pet's tag is recorded, whether or not you were sent an alert about it. There are three places to look.

From a scan notification
Tapping a scan alert opens the QR Scan Details screen — "{Pet name} was scanned!" — with:

| View on Map | Opens your pet's Locations history with that scan highlighted |
| Dismiss | Closes the screen |
In your Notifications list
Scan alerts also land in the app's Notifications inbox, alongside your other pet alerts. They read:
- "{Pet}'s QR tag — was scanned at {location}."
- "{Pet}'s QR tag — was scanned, but the scanner did not share a location."
- "{Pet}'s QR tag — was scanned again by a previous scanner at {location}."
Tip: The inbox entry is created before we try to deliver the push notification, so it will be there even if the push never reached your phone.
In your pet's Locations timeline
Open your pet's profile and go to Locations. Scans appear in the timeline as sighting cards reading "Sighted near {address}", each with a Scanner chip and a TAG or TRACKER label.
This is the complete list — it includes scans that happened while your pet was not marked as lost, which never triggered a notification.
Important: Scans never move your pet's map pin or change their last known position. They are shown as sightings on the timeline only.
What you can and can't see about the finder
You'll see the location the scan came from (if the finder shared it) and the date and time. You'll also see whether it's the same person scanning again. You will not see their name, phone number or any personal detail — and there's no way to message them from the app. If they want to reach you, they use the phone number, email address or directions on your pet's page.
