You are in full control of what a stranger sees when they scan your pet's tag. The app calls this screen Public info.
How to open the settings
- Go to Settings → Manage QR tags, or open a pet's profile and tap the QR Tags row.
- Tap the tag you want to change — or tap the … menu next to it and choose Public info.
The eight toggles
The screen explains itself like this: "Choose what information will be visible to someone who scans this pet's QR tag. This helps the finder contact you or return your pet safely. Only the details you enable below will be shown publicly."
| Toggle | What it shows on the finder page |
|---|---|
| Your phone | Your phone number, as a tap-to-call link |
| Your email | Your email address, as a tap-to-email link |
| Your address | Your address, which opens in Google Maps or Apple Maps |
| Last located | Where your pet was last located, as a tappable map link |
| Vital information | Allergies, medical alerts, medications and food |
| Vet clinic | Your vet clinic's name, phone number and address |
| Family contacts | The other members of your pet's family, with the same phone / email / address rules as yours |
| Additional information | Anything extra you've added about your pet |
Please note: Your name always appears in the Owner information card, and your pet's name and photo are always shown. There is no way to hide them.
Changes save as you go
On a tag that is already active, each toggle saves the moment you tap it — there is no Confirm button. You'll see "Your QR tag settings have been saved successfully ✅". If something goes wrong you'll see "We couldn't save your privacy settings. Please try again."
Two toggles need information first
- Your address — if your account has no saved address, you'll see "Add your address": "To show your address on this QR tag, add an address to your profile first. You can skip for now and turn this on later." Tap Add address to add one, or Skip for now. The toggle stays off until an address exists.
- Vital information — if your pet has none, you'll see "Add vital information": "To show your pet's vital information on this QR tag, add at least one detail — allergies, medical alerts, medications, or food — first." Tap Add vital information or Skip for now.
Tip: Each tag has its own settings. If your pet wears two tags, they can show completely different things.
Important: These choices are enforced on our servers, not just in the app — anything you've switched off is never sent to the page, so it cannot be seen by a finder.
