You picked a colour for your event, saved it, and it came back a different one — usually the first colour in the list. This is a known limitation and it's easy to work around.
Why it happens
The Event Colour picker shows 30 colours, but calendar events currently support only the first 18. If you choose one of the last 12, the event is saved with the first colour (Plum) instead of failing — so it looks like your choice was ignored.
[CONFIRM: whether the colour picker will be trimmed to the 18 supported colours, or the remaining 12 enabled, so this article can be retired]
The fix
- Tap the … on the event row.
- Tap Edit event.
- Open Event Colour under Appearance.
- Pick a colour from the first 18 in the list.
- Tap Save.
The event now shows the colour you chose.
Tip: The supported colours are the first 18 in the picker, starting with Plum. Anything further down the list won't stick yet.
Does this affect anything else?
No. Only the colour is changed — the pet, event type, date, time, repeat rule, reminder and any attached files all save exactly as you entered them.
When to contact support
If an event keeps showing the wrong colour even after re-picking one of the first 18, contact the Ask A Vet support team with the event's date and type. [CONFIRM: support contact channel — email address and/or in-app support route]
