Plans change — the vet moves the appointment, or the tablets finish early. Editing and cancelling both start from the same menu.
Edit an event
- Open the Calendar tab and find the event in the Events list.
- Tap the … on the event row.
- Tap Edit event.
- Change what you need on the Edit Event form.
- Tap Save.
You'll see an Event updated message.
Tip: Changing the Date, Time or Reminder before event also resets the reminder, so a fresh notification is sent on the new schedule. Handy if the original reminder already came and went.
What editing a repeating event changes
| What you change | What happens |
|---|---|
| Date, time or repeat rule | All 30 future occurrences are rebuilt on the new schedule and reset to "not yet done". |
| Files or reminder only | The change flows through to future occurrences you haven't individually changed; the series is left in place. |
| Event Details | Applies only to the occurrence you edited. |
Cancel an event
- Tap the … on the event row.
- Tap Cancel event. The confirmation reads Cancel event? — "Do you want to cancel your event "type" on date, time?"
- Tap Yes, cancel (or No, go back to keep it).
You'll see Event cancelled successfully.
Important: Cancelling is permanent — the event can't be restored. If it was a repeating event, every future occurrence goes with it. To skip a single date instead, open that occurrence and tap Skipped.
Cancelling also removes its reminder, so you won't be notified about it.
What happens to attached files
If the event had files that were saved into the pet's Documents library, cancelling the event leaves those documents in place — their Source section simply reads "Original calendar event was deleted". To remove a document instead, take the file off the event before cancelling it.
Family sharing
Editing and cancelling events on a shared pet need the family calendar permission for that pet. Without it you'll see "Calendar access restricted".
