No — Ask A Vet subscriptions aren't sold through the App Store or Google Play. On both iPhone and Android, your subscription is billed directly through our secure web checkout.
What this means for you
- Your subscription won't appear in your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions list.
- You can't cancel it from Apple or Google. Cancel from Settings → Subscriptions → Manage plan → Cancel subscription in the Ask A Vet app.
- Manage everything — upgrades, downgrades, cancelling and resuming — inside the Ask A Vet app.
Why checkout opens your browser
When you subscribe, the app opens the payment page in your phone's browser rather than keeping you inside the app. That's deliberate: the payment page is hosted by our payment provider so your card details are entered on their secure page, never in the app.
Once you've paid, a confirmation page brings you back — automatically after about 10 seconds, or straight away if you tap Open Ask A Vet now.
There's no "Restore purchases" step
Because your subscription is tied to your Ask A Vet account rather than to a phone or an app-store account, there's nothing to restore. Sign in on a new phone and your plan is already there.
Tip: If your plan looks wrong right after paying, open Settings → Subscriptions — the screen re-checks your subscription every time you open it. See "I paid but the app still shows my old plan".
Which cards and payment methods are accepted
[CONFIRM: the payment methods accepted at checkout — cards, digital wallets, and any regional options]
If you subscribed a long time ago
A small number of customers still have subscriptions set up under an older billing arrangement. Those can't be changed in the app — you'll see "This subscription can't be changed in the app. Please contact support." Contact Ask A Vet support and they'll move you across. [CONFIRM: support contact channel/address for billing questions]
