"You're already on this plan."
You tapped the plan you're currently subscribed to. Nothing was charged and nothing changed. Close the screen and pick a different plan, or check Settings → Subscriptions to confirm which plan you're on.
"This subscription can't be changed in the app."
The full message reads "This subscription can't be changed in the app. Please contact support."
Your subscription was set up under an older billing arrangement that can't be switched from inside the app. Your plan keeps working normally — but to change it, contact Ask A Vet support and ask them to move you across. [CONFIRM: support contact channel/address for billing questions]
"We couldn't start the checkout process right now."
The full message reads "We couldn't start the checkout process right now. Please try again later." Something went wrong before the payment page could open. Nothing was charged.
- Check your internet connection.
- Close the Plans screen.
- Reopen it from Settings → Subscriptions.
- Try again.
Tracker-slot messages
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| "We couldn't complete your purchase. Please try again." or "We couldn't switch your plan. Please try again." | The slot purchase didn't go through. Nothing was charged; reopen the screen and try again. |
| "Unable to resolve the current tracker-slot price. Please try again shortly." | The price for the extra slot couldn't be loaded just then. Wait a moment and try again; you'll always see the exact amount before anything is charged. |
Please note: Your tracker stays paired either way — pairing is never blocked by a billing step.
Checkout opened when you expected an instant switch
Normally, switching between two paid plans happens instantly with no payment page. If the browser checkout opens instead, it's because your existing subscription bills in a different currency from the plan you picked, so a new subscription has to be created. Your current plan stays active until the new one starts, so you're never left without access.
