Some Ask A Vet features are open to everyone, some need any paid plan, and a few are Premium only. Here's the quick map, plus the exact messages you'll see when something is locked.

Available on every plan
These work on the Free Plan as well as the paid plans:
- Unlimited pet profiles
- Unlimited ID tags (per animal)
- Viewing documents already in a pet's document library
- Booking a telehealth consult (paid per call)
Needs any paid plan
Either the Tracker Plan or Premium unlocks:
- Connecting a GPS tracker to a pet
- Family Sharing: inviting a family member and sharing a pet
If you're on Free and try one of these, you'll see: "A paid plan is required" / "Family Sharing is available on the Tracker Plan and Premium." / "Subscribe to invite family members and share your pets." — with View subscription plans and Not now.
Premium only
- AI Vet Chat (unlimited)
- Certified Vet Chat (2 per month)
- Adding and editing documents in a pet's document library
- The discounted telehealth per-call rate
- Calendar sync [CONFIRM: whether Calendar sync should still be listed as an available Premium feature]
Please note: Premium upgrades all active pets on your account, not just one pet. There's no per-pet Premium option.

Tip: If a pet was shared with you by someone else, what matters is the pet owner's plan — not yours. See "Family Sharing and subscription plans".
